New two-year-old Stakes winner for Sepoy

Sparkle’n’joy lands Listed Ingabelle Stakes in Ireland

Sepoy has been enjoying a successful spell on home soil recently, and on Saturday, 15 September he added a new Stakes winner in Europe when his two-year-old daughter Sparkle’n’joy battled impressively to win the 1,400m Listed Ingabelle Stakes at Leopardstown in Ireland.

Always prominent under Shane Foley, Sparkle’n’joy was pressed all the way to the line by favourite Foxtrot Liv but demonstrated true grit to prevail by a head.

Sparkle’n’joy was bred in Ireland by Roland H Alder and is one of three winners out of the winning Dubai Destination mare Silent Secret. She is from the family of Godolphin’s G1 St James’s Palace Stakes winner Barney Roy and the superb sprinter Gordon Lord Byron.

Sepoy is also sire of Group-winning colt Native Solder in Australia this season, while multiple G1 winner Alizee flew the flag for her sire during her successful 2017/18 campaign.

Sepoy stands at Northwood Park at a fee of $11,000 inc GST.
