New Stakes winner for Sepoy

Chamade makes all the running in Doncaster Listed contest

Chamade, a three-year-old daughter of Sepoy, gained a valuable first Stakes win on Saturday, 7 November when landing the Listed Gillies’ Fillies Stakes at Doncaster. Sent straight to the front, she repelled all challengers in the straight to record a three-quarters-of-a-length triumph over Trefoil (Teofilo).

Owned and bred by Mr and Mrs David Aykroyd, Chamade is a daughter of the Authorized mare Colima, who was placed in the Listed Lingfield Oaks Trial. Colima has already produced the Group winner Brimham Rocks, who is also G1-placed in Australia .

Sepoy has now sired seven Stakes winners in 2020 including star mare Alizee, wide-margin Dubai Group winner Salute The Soldier, Rosehill G3 scorer Sweet Scandal and European juvenile Group winner Mighty Gurkha.
