Parlor powers to victory in Delaware Park’s Glasgow Stakes

Lonhro gelding draws off to win by a length

Parlor earned his first Stakes victory when he pulled away in the stretch to win the $100,000 Glasgow Stakes by a length at Delaware Park 13 July 2019.

Sent off as the heavy favorite in the field of eight, the Lonhro gelding stalked the leaders from fourth through the early stages of the race. Parlor began his move on the far turn, closing in on the leaders while saving ground along the inside rail. In the stretch he overhauled leader Abiding Star to draw off and win easily.

Parlor was bred in Kentucky by KatieRich Farm. He is out of My McIntosh (Pulpit), a half-sister to 2019 Graded Stakes winner Lady Apple (G3 Fantasy Stakes, G3 Iowa Oaks) and to Stakes winners Miss Red Delicious (Listed Pink Ribbon Stakes) and Dr. Diamonds Prize (Gowell Stakes).

Parlor ranks among the 84 Stakes winners produced to date by Lonhro, who will stand the 2019 breeding season at a fee of $77,000 including GST.
