Clown Master dominates Macau

Five-year-old Lonhro stallion Clown Master steals the show at Taipa by taking out the Macau G1 Macau Hong Kong Trophy

Champion racehorse winning 11 times at G1 level and amassing over $5.7million in Stakes earnings, Lonhro retired to stud with a massive boom. His early promise has flourished into excellence, with ten Stakes winners thus far this season in the southern hemisphere including G2 winners Parables and Obsequious.

Becoming the 22nd individual Stakes winner for his sire, Clown Master raced midfield and was the victim of interference early upon entering the straight but displayed the determination that is seemingly inherent in Lonhro's stock. The entire found clear running after being knocked about and ran on gallantly to overtake his rivals and win.

Bred by Woodlands Stud, Clown Master is a half-brother to G3 winner Clothilde, and is out of the G2 winner Seika, in turn, a half-sister to G1 winner Sports.

Lonhro will be represented by five lots at the upcoming Australian Easter broodmare sale, including Stakes winners Superfly and Absolutelyfabulous.
