Street Life shines at Saratoga

Son of Street Sense earns second Stakes victory

Street Sense's three-year-old son Street Life showed he was much the best July 27 in Saratoga's Listed Curlin Stakes. In the 1800m event Street Life settled well off the pace. He made a run rounding the far turn, going wide, and finished strong to power past the field at the top of the stretch.

Street Life was dubbed a TDN Rising Star in his maiden victory early in 2012, before a black-type debut victory in the Listed Broad Brush Stakes at Aqueduct.

Bred by Mueller Thoroughbred Stable, Ltd, Street Life is out of the Grindstone mare Stone Hope. The mare is a half-sister to multiple Graded Stakes winner and G1-placed Brilliant. The colt hails from the family of G1 winners Furiously and Dancealot.

Street Sense is the sensational G1 Kentucky Derby and G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile-winning son of Street Cry. From his first two crops of runners, his best include G3 winners Castaway and Motor City, as well as G1-placed runners Miss Netta and Aubby K.

The sire of the unbeaten Western Australian filly Sky Princess, impressive recent winner Mottled as well as placegetters Clever Boy, Calais Grey and She’s Streetsahead, Street Sense will stand the forthcoming southern hemisphere season at Darley Kelvinside at a fee of $38,500 (inc. GST).
