Sensible Lady sharp in Jenny Wade Stakes

Third black-type win for daughter of Street Sense

Sent off as the even money favorite, Street Sense's Sensible Lady dominated in the Jenny Wade Stakes at Penn National July 27. In the 1000m race Sensible Lady settled off the pace before charging in the home straight to prove much too good.

Sensible Lady's most recent victory was in the Buckland Stakes at Colonial Downs. She also won Pimlico's The Very One Stakes in May. The three-year-old filly is the first foal for Awesome Lady, a multiple Stakes winner and Graded-placed mare by Bianconi. The filly was bred in Kentucky by Spendthrift Farm, LLC.

Sensible Lady is the second Stakes victory of the day for Street Sense, as his son Street Life won the Curlin Stakes at Saratoga earlier in the afternoon. Street Sense is off to a terrific start, with two Graded Stakes winners - Castaway and Motor City. He is also the sire of G1-placed Miss Netta and Aubby K.

Street Sense will stand the forthcoming southern hemisphere breeding season at Darley Kelvinisde for $38,500 (inc. GST) alongside his sire Street Cry who will stand for $110,000 (inc. GST).
