Seradess maintained the momentum of her sire Astern showing an outstanding turn-of-foot to score a bold win in the G3 Scarborough Stakes on Friday, 24 September.
Jockey Luke Currie sat on the pace with Seradess, calling on her at the 300m from which point she powered home, just defeating Larkspur Run (Shamardal) by a nose.
Astern, one of the best two and three-year-olds of his era, retired to stud in 2017 as the highest-rated son of Medaglia d’Oro. He was one of four first-season stallions to sire multiple Stakes winners in his first season.
Astern stands this season at Kelvinside, NSW at a fee of $16,500 (inc GST).
