Luck be a Lady

Street Sense filly Sensible Lady wins The Very One Stakes at Pimlico

Street Sense sired his fourth Stakes winner when his daughter Sensible Lady took the Listed The Very One Stakes over 1000m on the turf at Pimlico on May 18. Settled on the rail, Sensible Lady positioned herself in second entering the turn. She then began to take command with 100m to travel where there was no turning back from there.

Sensible Lady is the first foal for the multiple Stakes winner and Graded-placed Awesome Lady, by Bianconi. The three-year-old filly was bred by Spendthrift Farm, LLC.

Street Sense, a fantastic Kentucky Derby-winning son of Street Cry, is the sire of three other black-type winners with 10 stakes-performers overall. Among them are G3 winners Castaway and Motor City. He is also the sire of the exciting G1-placed filly Miss Netta from his first crop.

His oldest Australian-conceived offspring are two-year-olds and include the promising Perth winner Sky Princess.
