Brazen Beau has his first $1m yearling at Inglis Easter

Brazen Beau achieved a seven-figure breakthrough at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sydney when a colt from his second crop sold for $1.15 million.

The colt catalogued as Lot 73 sold to Hong Kong trainer Peter Ho who outlasted a series of underbidders in a hectic duel.

Ho said the colt would likely stay in Australia at least for the beginning of his career and would be trained by John Hawkes and his sons.

“I liked him from the time I saw him, he’s very athletic and has a lot of quality,” Ho said.

The colt is the second foal of the Exceed And Excel mare Just Discreet whose five wins included the G3 Matrice Stakes and from a family that includes G1 South Australian Oaks winner Maybe Discreet.
