Beau adds another to his string

Juvenile son of Brazen Beau takes jump to Stakes grade with ease at just second race start

Bello Beau remained unbeaten and gave his sire Brazen Beau another winner on Sunday, 22 January when he won the Listed $100,000 The Mills New Elwick Stakes over 1,100m in Hobart.

The two-year-old gelding, out of Bella Princess (Flying Spur), disputed the lead early but drew clear in the home straight for jockey Jason Maskiell and trainer Adam Trinder to beat Remuda and Piiink Beauty.

A first-up winner at Elwick on 29 December, Bello Beau was sold by Supreme Thoroughbreds at the 2021 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale.

Brazen Beau was a dual G1 winner on the track and has sired the winners of more than 60 races in Australia and New Zealand this season, including G1 winner On The Bubbles for Jamie Richards and Te Akau Racing.

Seven of his progeny averaged just under $250,000 at this month’s Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale and he has 16 lots catalogued for the 2022 Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale from February 27.
