Lonhro opened the Cup meeting with a pair of Stakes winners, including Aristia in the G2 Wakeful Stakes, on day one and will be looking to finish it on a high note on Saturday when his talented son Kementari runs in the G1 VRC Sprint Classic.
His son Ranier also won the G3 Carbine Club Stakes.
It also added to the consistency of her sire who maintains a strike rate of better than 70 percent winners to runners and who has now produced 11 G1 winners.
Aristia is also the second G1 winner of the week for Darley stallions, following Teofilo’s Melbourne Cup success.
Aristia is the third winner from three foals to race for her dam Nakaaya, a stakes-winning daughter of Tiger Hill.
Lonhro stands at Kelvinside, NSW at a fee of $55,000, inc GST.
