Son of Exceed And Excel thrills in Listed juvenile feature at Ascot, Perth

Exceed And Excel continues to leave an indelible hoofprint on juvenile racing

Exceed And Excel continues to leave an indelible hoofprint on juvenile racing, siring another two-year-old Stakes winner in Perth on Saturday, 19 March.

Already the sire of 96 individual Group winners and more than 500 juvenile winners worldwide, the Darley stallion’s statistics rose when Left The Building won the Listed Perth Stakes (two-year-old colts and geldings) over 1,100m at Ascot racecourse in Western Australia.

Jockey Clint Johnston-Porter gave the colt a well-timed run to nail Street Parade and Kosta’s Crown right on the post for trainer Luke Fernie.

It was only Left The Building’s second start in a race, with his debut earning him a third at Ascot back in November.

Left The Building was sold by Three Bridges Thoroughbreds to Arlington Park Racing for $170,000 at the 2020 Inglis Great Southern Sale.

Exceed And Excel had a further four winners across Australia on Saturday, 19 March, bringing up a total of five individual winners for the champion sire in a single day.

Exceed And Excel has 17 yearlings in the catalogue for the 2022 Australian Easter Yearling Sale at Riverside Stables, Warwick Farm on 5-6 April - click here to view Exceed And Excel’s Inglis Easter yearlings.
