Shooting To Win filly leads home a sweep for Darley stallions in Moonee Valley G3

Ms Catherine wins Typhoon Tracy Stakes from Tenley and Don’ttelltheboss

The Shooting To Win filly Ms Catherine turned in a brilliant front-running performance to lead in a sweep of the placings for Darley stallions in Friday’s G3 Typhoon Tracy Stakes at Moonee Valley.

Ms Catherine took up the running from the gates and set a brisk pace to lead comfortably for home in the 1,200m race.

The filly maintained her advantage to the line, beating the fast-finishing Tenley (Medaglia d’Oro)  and Don’ttelltheboss (Street Boss) who also closed strongly for third.

Ms Catherine took her record to three wins from three starts for her owners Tony and Joe Bongiorno who also bred the filly and raced her dam, the stakes winner Lucky Diva who is a half-sister to the G3 winner Spirit Of Westbury and the stakes winners Duke of Westbury and Gina Lollawitcha.

Ms Catherine becomes the second Group winner for Shooting To Win who also achieved good results at this month’s Inglis Classic Sale.

Shooting To Win will stand the coming southern hemisphere season at Kelvinside, NSW.
