Mascarpone maintains outstanding form to score his second Stakes win

Progressive gelding jumps in class to win G2 Foxbridge Plate at Te Rapa

A strong performance and a clever ride extended the winning sequence being put together by Mascarpone and gave Shooting To Win another Stakes winner in Saturday’s G2 Foxbridge Plate at Te Rapa.

Trainer Graeme Rogerson said the decision to make the trip to Melbourne was always going to happen.

“He is a Group 1 horse. He is going to run at Moonee Valley in the Moir” Rogerson said.

Bred and co-owned by Gerry Harvey, Mascarpone was a NZ$160,00 yearling purchase at New Zealand Bloodstock’s Karaka Book One and is related to the Australian Stakes winners Bel Danero and Bislotto.

Shooting To Win stands the most recent southern hemisphere season at Kelvinside, NSW, at a service fee of $16,500, including GST.
