Son of Street Boss adds a second Stakes victory to growing resume

Rapper Dragon took command with just over a furlong to run as he drew off to a comfortable two-length victory in the Listed Hong Kong Classic Mile at Sha Tin January 22.

The four-year-old gelding provided his sire Street Boss with his second Stakes winner of the weekend. On Saturday, his five-year-old son Holy Boss was much the best when taking the Duncan F. Kenner Stakes at Fair Grounds.

Bred by Mr. E. Cojuangco, Rapper Dragon, who was G1 placed in the Champagne Stakes at Randwick as a two-year-old when trained by Gai Waterhouse, is out of Swing Dance, by Danehill Dancer. Swing Dance is a full-sister to the Stakes-winning Turf Express, and a half-sister to Amanpour, winner of the G1 Queen of the Turf Stakes.

Rapper Dragon is one of 26 Stakes winners his sire, Street Boss. The thirteen-year-old stallion is the sire of 2016 G1 winners Cathryn Sophia, an impressive winner of the G1 Kentucky Oaks, and Decked Out, who took the G1 American Oaks on December 31. In addition, Street Boss has also sired G1 winners Capo Bastone, Danza, and Newmarket Handicap winner The Quarterback.
