Second-crop yearlings by World Champion Sprinter fetch up to $300,000

World Champion Sprinter Harry Angel has only had a handful of starters in Australia this season but has already had success, with Stakes winner Arkansaw Kid being aimed at the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes.

Currently leading the first-season sires' premiership by earnings, from seven runners Harry Angel has two winners for a Stakes winner leading Trapeze Artist, Encryption and The Autumn Sun to name a few.

He was well received in Queensland, with his only four Book 1 yearlings - Strawberry Hill Stud's two were withdrawn prior to the sale - selling up to $300,000 and averaging $235,000 with an impressive median of $230,000 for four lots sold - returning on average 14.2 times his service fee which was $16,500 including GST of 2020.

Among the buyers were leading trainers: Snowden Racing, Lindsay Park Racing and Peter Moody - the former trainer of legendary sprinter Black Caviar - were among the successful bidders.

At the upcoming yearling sales, Harry Angel has three lots catalogued at New Zealand Bloodstock's Karaka Yearling Sale - Book 1 (click to view lots), 10 at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale (click to view lots) and five at Inglis Premier (click to view lots).
