Jorda returns to top form with G3 Flemington win

Daughter of Exceed And Excel lives up to her promise

The talented filly Jorda bounced back to her best in devastating style with a brilliant victory in the G3 Kennedy Plate at Flemington on 9 November.

Typical of the stock of her sire Exceed And Excel, Jorda emerged as one of Godolphin’s most precocious Australian juveniles of last season, winning on debut in the Listed Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick.

Resuming at three in the G3 San Domenico Stakes at Rosehill she showed she had lost nothing during her spell, finishing third to the good colt Pariah.

Jorda indicated her best form wasn’t far away when third in Listed company prior to her latest win which has again placed her among the better sprinting fillies of her age.

A daughter of the Viscount mare Montmelo, Jorda is one of three winners from her four foals to race.

Exceed And Excel is standing the current southern hemisphere season at Kelvinside in New South Wales at a fee of $110,000 including GST.
