The brilliant start made by Frosted to his stud career passed another prominent landmark as Ingratiating became his first G1 placegetter in Australia when second in Saturday’s G1 Blue Diamond Stakes at Caulfield.

Already a dual-Stakes winner, Ingratiating is one of eight members of Frosted first local crop to race, all of whom have at least been placed.

Ingratiating became Frosted’s first Stakes winner worldwide when he took out the Listed Maribyrnong Trial at Flemington last October. He went on to win the Listed Talindert Stakes, also at Flemington, earlier this month.

Frosted’s other Stakes winner is his G2-winning American son Travel Column who won the G2 Golden Rod Stakes at Churchill Downs in November. Travel Column is also G1-placed.

As of 20 February, Frosted has had 78 first-crop runners in the US and Australia for 21 winner.
