Greatness begets greatness

That’s exactly what Street Cry imparts to his offspring as highlighted by the G2 win of Whobegotyou at Moonee Valley

Street Sense, Zenyatta, Street Boss, Cry And Catch Me, Majestic Roi, Tomcito, Desert Party, Street Sounds. All have won G1 or G2 races and all are by Street Cry.

The latest equine athlete to add his name to this list is the Australian-bred Whobegotyou, winner of the G2 MVRC Stutt Stakes on Friday evening in emphatic fashion. The three-year-old colt showed an impressive burst of speed to come through from the rear of the field and cruise home to win the 1600m contest by four lengths.

Whobegotyou was bred by David O’Keeffe and is out of a winning daughter of Carnegie, Temple Of Peace, who also has a two-year-old by Darley Australia stallion Octagonal. Carnegie also featured in the minor placings, his son Carnero taking third while Minnesota Shark, a Stakes winner from  the first crop of Lonhro was fourth.

There was also success at the Valley for Born Princess, a three-year-old daughter of Elusive Quality, who is now unbeaten in two starts after victory in a 1000m Class One event.
