First winner for Victor Ludorum

Viva La Skids wins on debut at Saint-Cloud

Exciting young stallion Victor Ludorum sired his first winner when Viva La Skids landed the Prix Royal Hampton on debut over six furlongs at Saint-Cloud on Monday, 1 May.

Settled in mid-division, Viva La Skids travelled strongly throughout the contest and found plenty when asked for an effort inside the final two furlongs, staying on well to win by a neck. Trainer Adam West stated after the race that she would be aimed at the G3 Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Bred by Ecurie Biraben and A. Gilbert, Viva La Skids is out of the winning Teofilo mare Attractive Lady, a half-sister to G1 winner Desert Blanc and Listed winner Lumiere Noire.

Victor Ludorum was unbeaten as a two-year-old, winning the G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere on his third start. He went on to Classic glory at three, winning the G1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains.

He stands at Haras d’Etreham for a fee of €15,000, Oct 1, SLF.
