Street Boss gelding impresses when earning first Stakes victory

Dreaminblue made his return to Oaklawn Park a winning one, taking the lead after a half-mile and powering to a three-length victory in the $135,000 Silks Overnight Stakes at Oaklawn Park on Friday, 19 Dec.

The three-year-old gelded son of Street Boss collected $74,925 for his second victory in 11 starts to improve his career earnings to $252,527.

Dreaminblue sat just off leaders Sharp Swinger and Amorosa through an opening quarter in :21.58; he moved up to join that pair while racing three-wide on the turn. The chestnut gelding took the lead through a half-mile in :44.90 and went on strongly to cover the six furlongs on a fast track in 1:09.10. Rafael Bejarano was aboard for trainer Randy Morse.

Dreaminblue was bred in Kentucky by Charles Kidder, Ralph Kinder and Erv Woolsey and is out of the mare Dreamy Blues (by Curlin).
