Domesday filly Arcadia Dream wins her second Stakes race

Comfortable Listed victory for talented three-year-old at Ascot

Domesday filly Arcadia Dream has shown her staying prowess with an impressive win the Listed Natasha Stakes over 2200m, her second victory at Stakes level, while stablemate Heart Starter made it a Stakes double for his sire with a convincing victory in the Listed JC Roberts Stakes (1800m) at Ascot on March 19.

A winner of four of her 10 starts for trainer Grant Williams, the three-year-old stepped up in distance at her third run this campaign, settling fourth for jockey Willie Pike and always appeared in control of the race, pulling away in the final stages to win comfortably.

A homebred for Bob Peters, Arcadia Dream is out of the metropolitan-winning Redoute’s Choice mare Arcadia, dame of Listed-winning sprinter Arcadia Rose (Kheleyf).

In an almost carbon copy to Arcadia Dream’s race, Heart Starter settled fourth behind a strong tempo and when asked by Pike showed a strong turn of foot to win his second Stakes race and his third race from seven starts.

Also bred by Peters, Heart Starter is out of the Listed-winning mare Flaming Heart, who has also produced Stakes winner Real Love.

Domesday stands at Northwood Park and has sired G1 winners Pressday and Doctor Doom, along 12 Stakes winners.
