Disposition goes four from four

Reset three-year-old records second Stakes victory in the Fairetha Stakes

Going into his second Stakes races as the short priced favourite due his impeccable form, three-year-old Reset gelding Disposition gave favourite backers a moment for concern during the run, but in the end he once again proved too classy for his rivals, winning the Listed Fairetha Stakes over 1400m.

Settling with only a few behind him in the run, jockey William Pike started to urged the unbeaten gelding along before the home turn, and while it did take him a few strides to respond, he charged down the outside of the field to pass the leaders and maintain his unbeaten record.

The first foal out of the Testa Rossa mare Test Case, a half-sister the G3 winner Local Legend, both being daughters of the G1 Goodwood winner Spectrum, Disposition was bred and is raced by Peters Investments Pty Ltd.

Experiencing a great period on the track in recent weeks, Reset has been represented by G1 Caulfield Stakes winner Fawkner, who then finished a gallant second in the G1 W.S. Cox Plate, while the recent G1 VRC Oaks was taken out by the lightly raced Set Square, a filly having only her fourth career start.

Reset, the sire of 27 Stakes winners highlighted by four G1 winners is standing the current season at a fee of $16,500 (inc. GST) at Northwood Park, Victoria.
