Anamoe sets the benchmark at Magic Millions

A $1.1 million colt anchored a dominant Book 1 for the Darley stallions

Anamoe set the tone at Magic Millions with a $1.1 million colt, the highest-priced yearling by a first-season sire by a clear margin and the headline result for the Darley stallions.

That top lot anchored a dominant Book 1 performance. 31 Anamoe yearlings were offered across four days and all 31 sold, delivering a 100 percent clearance rate supported by sustained buying pressure at the top end of the market.

The result included thirteen yearlings selling for $500,000 or more, led by the $1.1 million and supported by additional results at $950,000, $850,000, $800,000 (two), $700,000, $650,000, $625,000, $610,000, $600,000, $525,000, and two at $500,000.

Top-end buyers included Ciaron Maher Bloodstock (four), Ozzie Kheir, Group 1 Bloodstock, MyRacehorse Pty Ltd, Michael Freedman Racing, Belmont Bloodstock Agency, Andrew Williams Bloodstock, Sheamus Mills Bloodstock, Matt Laurie Racing, Waller Racing, Mulcaster Bloodstock, Kia Ora Stud, China Horse Club, Newgate Bloodstock, Lindsay Park Racing, Dean Hawthorne Bloodstock, Mystery Downs, SP Bloodstock, Blueblood Thoroughbreds, and Triple Crown Syndications.

Too Darn Hot again operated at the elite end of the market, highlighted by a $725,000 yearling purchased by China Horse Club and Newgate Bloodstock. The result reflected strong demand from a globally focused colt syndicate and continued support when his top-quality yearlings came under the hammer.

Pinatubo recorded a leading result with a $600,000 filly from Bell River Thoroughbreds, secured by Ciaron Maher Bloodstock, ranking among the stallionโ€™s top outcomes of the sale.

Harry Angel delivered a solid cluster of high-end transactions, led by a $425,000 yearling purchased by MyRacehorse and Michael Freedman Racing, with further yearlings selling for $350,000, $320,000 and $300,000 to Hermitage Thoroughbreds, Mick Price Racing and Breeding, Kurrinda Bloodstock, Doyle Racing, and Anthony Freedman Racing with Julian Blaxland Bloodstock.

Street Boss continued to attract a wide buyer base, headlined by a $340,000 yearling secured by Equine Growth Fund, SP Bloodstock and Blueblood Thoroughbreds, with further purchases made by Anthony Freedman Racing with Julian Blaxland Bloodstock (below) and Williams Racing.

Bivouacโ€™s results were underpinned by racetrack performance, with two two-year-old city winners at Flemington and Rosehill on Saturday. Waller Racing secured the top-priced Bivouac yearling of the sale, adding to a stable that already includes G1 winner Beiwacht (Bivouac).
