Boss Sully overpowers rivals in Santa Anita’s Listed Siren Lure Stakes

Street Boss gelding wires the field in return to racing

Making his first start in over eight months, Boss Sully showed no signs of rust as he rocketed out of the starting gate and never looked back on his way to winning the $100,000 Siren Lure Stakes at Santa Anita on Sunday, 10 May.

While it was the first Stakes win for the six-year-old Street Boss gelding, he had been Stakes-placed three times before, including a close second in the 2025 G2 Twin Spires Turf Sprint at Churchill Downs.

Boss Sully sprinted to the front and showed the way outside of Vlahos, clearing that rival as they hit the half-mile pole. Boss Sully then moved over to the inside rail as the field entered the far turn. Still unchallenged as they hit the top of the lane, Boss Sully was given his cue by Joel Rosario and spurted away and continued to hold sway over a closing Unconquerable Keen to win by one-and-a-half lengths.

Bred in California by PT Syndicate #1 LLC, Boss Sully is out the Candy Ride mare, Eternally, and hails from the immediate family of G1-placed Miss Jean Brodie and G3 winner, Comicas.

Street Boss is the sire of four Australian G1 winners this season, with Tentyris, Pericles and Green Spaces joining Tempted as having success at the elite level. Worldwide, Street Boss has sired 89 individual Stakes winners.
