Azure Angel, a daughter of Harry Angel, gained her first Black Type victory on Sunday, 5 April in the Listed Lansdown Stakes. Run over five furlongs at Bath, she came from the rear to get up in the shadow of the post.
The six-year-old has now won in each and every season she has raced since a juvenile.
A 24,000gns yearling, Azure Angel is the first Stakes winner produced by the six-furlong winner Silken Skies (Zoffany), who also has a yearling filly and a colt foal both by Harry Angel.
Harry Angel has now sired 21 Stakes winners including a trio of top-flight scorers. They are led by three-time G1 winner Tom Kitten, who landed his second All-Star Mile last month at Flemington. Azure Angel is from Harry Angel’s first Dalham Hall crop that now totals 10 Black Type winners.
