Broadsiding crowned Champion Three-Year-Old

He now shares this champion title with Anamoe, The Autumn Sun, Fastnet Rock and So You Think

Broadsiding, a son of Too Darn Hot, has been named Champion Three-Year-Old at the 2024/2025 Australian Racehorse of the Year awards.

In the spring, he won the G1 Golden Rose at Rosehill, defeating Traffic Warden, Storm Boy and Linebacker, before running third in the G1 W.S. Cox Plate at Moonee Valley, the fastest ever performance by a three-year-old in the race, finishing behind Via Sistina and Prognosis, and ahead of Mr Brightside and Pride Of Jenni.

In the autumn, Broadsiding resumed with victory in the G2 Hobartville Stakes at Rosehill, finished runner-up in the G1 Randwick Guineas, and then won the G1 Rosehill Guineas over Aeliana.

A four-time G1 winner across his two and three-year-old campaigns, Broadsiding now joins the Darley roster for the 2025 breeding season. By Too Darn Hot, he retires as the fastest three-year-old to ever contest the Cox Plate and the hottest first-season sire prospect to go to stud in Australia this year.
