Super seven for Ad Valorem

Rigolleto leads from the off to win for her first-season sire

Ad Valorem has made a promising start with his northern hemisphere runners and Rigolleto brought his tally of winners to seven at Chester on Sunday, making all the running to land the 1400m maiden. She has previously finished runner-up on her debut at Bath on 22 July.

Bred in Ireland by Michael O’Mahoney, the filly is out of Jallaissine, a daughter of College Chapel. Her other offspring include the Listed-placed Campbeltown.

Ad Valorem, a well-bred son of Danzig, has also sired the Listed winner Samaden and fellow dual scorers Revine and Una Vita Difficile.
