Strategic sires new G3 winner

Desuetude wins the Run To The Rose Stakes at Rosehill

Darley stallion Strategic sired a potentially top-class three-year-old on Saturday when Desuetude was victorious in the G3 Run To The Roses Stakes at Rosehill.

Now unbeaten in three starts following his victory in the Rosebud, he is likely to pay the $50,000 late entry fee to run in the $1Million Golden Rose run at Rosehill on August 30.

Bred by Woodlands Stud and trained by Peter Snowden, he is out of the five-time winning Unbridled's Song mare, Martella.

Strategic, who stands at Cootamundra for $16,500 (inc. GST), has sired three G1 winners in Meurice, Mistegic and Strategic News.
