Andy Makiv has joined Darley as Victorian Nominations Manager.
A law graduate, Andy comes to Darley after heading up the successful David Hayes aligned racehorse syndication company, First Tuesday.
With a background in bloodstock purchasing and selling, Andy has an extensive knowledge of pedigrees and immense experience in the racing industry.
“It’s certainly a progressive time for Darley and its going to be great to be part of the team. The Victorian racing and breeding industry continues to strengthen and its home to many accomplished breeders. I’m really looking forward to working with them.”
He continued, “I’ve been lucky enough to spend my first week at Darley visiting our farms in Europe and America and having a look at the stallions. Any Given Saturday and Hard Spun are lovely horses and will certainly impress our clientele.”
Darley’s general Manager Oliver Tait said, “We are delighted that Andy has joined us and we welcome his experience. Andy will be an important asset in growing our business and servicing our clients in Victoria.”
