Nadeem filly the toast of Tasmania

Triple Asset crowned Two-year-old Tasmanian Horse of the Year

The flagship bearer for her G1-winning sire, three-year-old Nadeem filly Triple Asset took out two awards at the recent Tasmanian Horse of the Year awards.

Crowned the Champion Two-year-old of her year as well as the Tasbreeders Outstanding Filly or Mare, Triple Asset won four times from eight juvenile starts, highlighted by her G3 double in the Thoroughbred Breeders’ Stakes at Flemington and then The Jansz over 1200m at Morphetville.

Bred by Armidale Stud in Tasmania, Triple Asset is out of the Hennessy mare Caralowe and comes from the family of G1 Golden Slipper winner Marauding and other Stakes horses Bold Selection, Lake Alexandrina, Springsteen, Iwan, Voodoo Beat and Latin News.

Although a G1 winner himself at two, it was always indicated that his connections felt Nadeem was going to be much better at three. Out of the G1 New Zealand Oaks winner Candide and a half-sister to the G1 Australasian Oaks winner Marju Snip, Nadeem’s pedigree possesses the essential qualities to suggest that whatever his progeny did as juveniles, they would have the scope to improve during their Classic three-year-old season. With Triple Asset nominated for the G1 Thousand Guineas at Caulfield in just over six weeks time, the Nadeem filly has a realistic chance of further putting her sire into the headlines.

With no other first-season sire of his year recording more individual winners or the winners of more races than Nadeem, the G1 Blue Diamond winner is a stallion who is sure to be in high demand at Darley Kelvinside this season where he stands for the fee of $22,000 (inc GST).
