Little Ms. Hotshot brings up hat trick of wins

Two-year-old Hard Spun filly wins three on end in the Philippines

As the sire of eight individual southern hemisphere-bred two-year-old winners, Danzig stallion Hard Spun is doing a great job with his first crop, not only locally, but on the international stage.

Bringing up her third career win in succession with victory on June 9 in the Philippines, Little Ms. Hotshot joined debutant Harden Up as a weekend winner for their sire. Out of the placings only twice from her nine starts to date, Little Ms. Hotshot appears a filly of some quality.

Out of the Carnegie mare Carnegie Gal, a half-sister to G2 winner Solo Show (dam of G2 winner Toast of The Coast), Listed winner Clout and the 11-time winner Concert Star (dam of Listed winner Beyonce’s Star), Little Ms. Hotshot was bred by Mr JL Cotter of Victoria. Carnegie Gal has a weanling colt by fellow Darley stallion Street Sense, the history-making son of Street Cry.

Standing the forthcoming southern hemisphere breeding season at Darley Victoria-base Northwood Park at a fee of $16,5000 (inc. GST), Hard Spun is the sire of 20 Stakes horses including the G2 winner Red Duke, G3 winner Hierro and the G1 performers Hard Not To Like and Zo Impressive.
