Judicial sprints to success at Sandown

Son of Iffraaj takes the G3 Sprint Stakes

Judical, a very quick son of Iffraaj, landed his biggest career triumph on Saturday, 7 July when taking the G3 Sprint Stakes at Sandown Park. He was always going well in the five-furlong contest and was able to hold off the late challenge of Muthmir to win his 11th career race by a neck.

Owned and bred by Elite Racing Club, he is a half-brother to Champion sprinter Marsha, who won a brace of G1’s in the Nunthorpe Stakes and Prix de l’Abbaye. His dam, the Stakes-winning Marju mare Marlinka, hails from the family of Soviet Song and Ribbons (Manduro).

Iffraaj, sire of dual Champion miler Ribchester, has sired 17 Stakes performers so far this season including Jungle Cat, winner of the G1 Al Quoz Sprint in Dubai, G1 juvenile Melt and French G3 Prix la Force scorer Chilean.

He is standing this season at Haunui Stud, NZ, at a fee of NZ$25,000 Plus GST.
