Get Rhythm smooth in Ontario Debutante Stakes

Two-year-old Street Boss filly soars to victory

Two-year-old Street Boss filly Get Rhythm had all the moves August 9, capturing her first Stakes win in the Ontario Debutante Stakes at Woodbine. As the latest Stakes winner for sire Street Boss, the talented young filly improved her record to two wins in three starts after a debut Maiden Special Weight victory in June.

Breaking well in the six-furlong race, Get Rhythm pushed leaders along the inside in third position. Looking for racing room turning for home, the filly swung wide and came flying in the final furlong to prove best.

Bred by Anderson Farms Ont. Inc. & Marette Farrell, Get Rhythm is a half-sister to Elusive Quality's G2-winning daughter Seduire. The filly's dam is Holy Bull mare Holy Eclair, a full-sister to Stakes winner and Graded-placed Saintliness and a half-sister to Stakes winner Sly Butterfly. Holy Eclair is out of multiple Stakes winner Wild Lightning.

Street Boss is the sire of 14 Black type performers to date in 2015, among them recent G2 Amsterdam Stakes winner Holy Boss and G3 El Camino Real Derby winner Metaboss. In Australia he has the undefeated boom filly Petits Filous who is likely to start a short-priced favourite in the G3 Quezette Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday.

Street Boss is standing this season at Northwood Park at a fee of $11,000 inc. GST.
