Vegas Flyer wins the Overnight Handicap at Portland Meadows

Vegas Flyer, by Darley stallion Henny Hughes, won the Overnight Handicap at Portland Meadows over 1200m on Monday, November 7. The victory was the third win for the three-year-old gelding who is trained by Robert Baze.

Out of the Bold Ruckus mare Tobie Ruckus, Vegas Flyer was bred by Mercedes LLC.

Henny Hughes is the sire of nine Stakes horses from his first two crops of runners in the northern hemisphere which includes the three-year-olds such as the G3 winner Henny Hound and Stakes winner Fort Hughes and Midnight Visit, while his two-year-old crop include G3 winner She Digs Me and Stakes horses My Due Process, Swift Artist and Play Eighteen.

Currently standing the southern hemisphere breeding season at Darley Kelvinside at a fee of $16,500 (inc. GST), Henny Hughes has been represented by only one runner to date from his first southern hemisphere, the Stakes-performed Lil Red Corvette.
