First southern hemisphere winner for Street Boss

Street Boss filly Hailin’ Diamonds produces the goods at Werribee

As the leading first-crop sire of his year in the USA, Street Boss was represented by his first winner in Australia on 27 January, when his daughter Hailin’ Diamonds proved too good for Street Cry colt Avalanches, winning by a half head over 1100m at Werribee.

Bred by John North’s Bowness Stud, Hailin’ Diamonds is out of the winning Flying Spur mare Coming Storm, the dam of two to the races, both winners and comes from the family of G1 winner Flitter, Singapore G1 winner My Royal Captain and G3 winners Marheta and Trump.

As the winner of the G1 Bing Crosby and G1 Triple Bend Invitational, Street Boss is the sire of 22 individual winners from his first USA-bred crop including the unbeaten Stakes winner Bosco, the G1 performer Capo Bostone as well as fellow Stakes performers Sheistheboss and Taralicious.
