PROFILE: Frosted

Three-time G1 winner and the best by champion sire Tapit

Frosted’s racing career is defined by his stunning 14.25 length win in the stallion-making G1 Met Mile at Belmont Park, a success that confirmed him as America’s fastest miler in 40 years. His Met Mile win also earned Frosted the title of the best-ever by three-time US champion sire Tapit. Frosted’s first US yearlings sold for up to US$850,000 and his initial Australian offering was highlighted by the $650,000 made at Magic Millions by the half-sister to multiple G1 winner Santa Ana Lane offered by Widden Stud and purchased by US-based Spendthrift Farm. The filly had been a $300,000 weanling purchase at the 2019 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale.
