Lot 66: Filly by Brazen Beau x Beauty For Pleasure

Brazen Beau's place among the top bracket of Australian stallions received further support during the opening session of the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in Melbourne with his filly from the Elvstroem mare Beauty For Pleasure making $420,000.

Successful bidder Sam Fairgray who bought the filly on behalf of Chinese group Yulong described her as "a typical, athletic, classy Brazen Beau."

"He's the sire of the moment and this filly was right up there with the best Brazen Beau's we've seen," Fairgray said.

"She's very athletic, great attitude, a cracking filly."

Catalogued as Lot 66, the filly is the first living foal of her dam and is closely related to the Stakes winner Fontiton and the good Hong Kong performer Beauty Forever.

Yulong were among the underbidders on the $800,000 Brazen Beau colt who set the early standard of the sale.
