Teofilo’s son Parish Hall lands the G1 Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket

Parish Hall, a son of Teofilo, emulated his sire on Saturday October 8 when landing the G1 Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket. Always close to the pace in the 1400m contest he battled on gamely to win by half-a-length from fellow Irish raider Power.  Parish Hall was Teofilo’s first ever winner back in April and now becomes his sires first ever G1-winner.

Bred and trained by Jim Bolger, he is the first foal out of the Montjeu mare Halla Siamsa, a winner over ten-furlongs at Fairyhouse in 2007.

Parish Hall is one of four Stakes winners sired by Teofilo in his first season. Remember Alexander beat the boys in the G3 Tyros Stakes, while Parish Hall’s stable companion Teolane won a Listed race at Naas. In Germany, Black Arrow is an unbeaten Stakes winner after landing the Preis des Union Gestuts on his second start.

Teofilo will stand this season for $22,000 (Inc. GST) at Kelvinside, NSW.
