Harry Angel sired a new Stakes winner on Sunday, 11 June, when his three-year-old daughter Cadeau Belle remained unbeaten with a decisive victory in the Listed Kooyonga Stakes at Navan in Ireland, on only her second career start.
Cadeau Belle was a one-and-a-quarter length winner on racecourse debut over seven furlongs at Gowran Park four weeks ago. Stepping up in class and trip today, the filly who is trained by Johnny Murtagh, travelled well towards the rear of the field under Ben Coen, making progress on the outside with two furlongs to run she then picked up the lead inside the final furlong and went on to win by a comfortable one and a quarter lengths.
Bred in France by S.A.S.U. Ecurie Des Monceaux, Cadeau Belle is out of the unraced New Approach mare Special Gift. She has bred two other winners and is a half-sister to G3 winner Do The Honours.
Harry Angel is now the sire of 8 individual Stakes winners from his first crop. They are headed by Marshman (G3 Prix Sigy), Al Dasim (G3 Nad Al Sheba Sprint) and include Listed winners Arkansaw Kid, Iconic Moment and Proverb.
