Ad Valorem sires his first winner

Samaden romps to a six-length victory in Italy

Ad Valorem, G1-winning Champion juvenile and winner of the G1 Queen Anne at Royal Ascot at four, opened his winner’s account in style on 11 May when his daughter Samaden took the 1200m maiden at Rome’s Capannelle racecourse.

Settled on the inside rail, Samaden was always traveling well and soon moved clear of her rivals, crossing the line a full six lengths ahead of second-placed Laetoli.

Ad Valorem, whose first southern hemisphere crop will hit the track later this year, stands at Kelvinside at a fee of $11,000 including GST.
