Muffri’Ha in full bloom at Lingfield

Daughter of Iffraaj lands the Listed Fleur de Lys Fillies’ Stakes for the second straight year

Iffraaj’s five-year-old daughter Muffri’Ha put up another solid performance on Thursday, 2 November to record back-to-back victories in the Listed Fleur de Lys Fillies’ Stakes at Lingfield, UK.

Smartly away under James Doyle, Muffri’Ha was settled just behind early leader and eventual third Promising Run (by US Darley stallion Hard Spun). Once entering the home straight, William Haggas’s charge soon responded once asked for her effort and taking the lead a furlong from home, eased clear to win the 1600m contest by a length.

This was the seventh career win for Muffri’Ha, who won the G3 Darley Stakes at Newmarket last year, before finishing third in the G1 Jebel Hatta at Meydan earlier this year. Last month, she recorded another Stakes win on the Rowley Mile when landing the Listed Rosemary Stakes.

Muffri’Ha was bred by Lodge Park Stud and is out of the Group-winning Dansili mare Grecian Dancer.

Iffraaj has enjoyed a superb year on the racecourse, with three G1 winners, headed by European Champion Miler and new European Darley stallion Ribchester, who will aim to add a fifth victory at the highest level to his CV on Saturday when he lines up in the Breeders’ Cup Mile.
