Third G2 winner this month for Reset

Star Of Giselle leads all the way in G2 Queen Of The South Stakes

Star Of Giselle gave her sire Reset his third G2 winner this month with a typically gutsy all-the-way win in the G2 Queen Of The South Stakes over 1600m at Morphettville.

Already the winner of two G3 races and a Listed race, the five-year-old mare jumped straight to the lead and was rated perfectly in front by jockey Brad Rawiller.

After kicking clear at the top of the straight, Star Of Giselle had to call on all her reserves over the concluding stages and held a neck margin on the line.

Bred and raced by her breeders, Contract Racing Pty Ltd, Mr N Psaltis & Mrs G Psaltis, Star Of Giselle is out of the Stakes-winning Danehill mare Princesa who has a Street Cry two-year-old filly, a yearling colt by Domesday and was covered by Medaglia d'Oro in the latest breeding season.

The sire of 24 Stakes winners including G1 Cox Plate heroine Pinker Pinker and dual Derby winner Rebel Raider, Reset will stand the coming breeding season at Northwood Park at a fee of $16,500 inc. GST.
