Skilled boasts perfect record with first-crop juveniles

Cayman Dayze becomes her sire's second winner from as many starters with Murray Bridge victory

Skilled made it two winners from his first two starters when his two-year-old daughter Cayman Dayze scored an impressive victory at Murray Bridge, March 2.

Third on debut at Morphettville last October, Cayman Dayze was resuming from a break and she showed good speed to sit outside the early leader before assuming control of the race at the top of the straight and going on to win easily.

Bred by Bowness Stud, Cayman Dayze is the first foal to race out of city-winning Xaar mare Miss Pickford who hails from the family of Darley stallion Denman.

A winner of the G1 Champagne Stakes as a juvenile, Skilled stands at Northwood Park in Victoria. He has three yearlings catalogued for next week’s Magic Millions Adelaide Yearling Sale and they can be viewed by clicking here.
