Second Group win for son of Lonhro

The Conglomerate takes the G2 KRA Guineas in South Africa

Lonhro celebrated a Group success on Saturday 2 May when his three-year-old son The Conglomerate ran out the easy winner of the KRA Guineas at Greyville in South Africa. Now the winner of five of his eight starts, this was the second Group victory for The Conglomerate after his last time out victory in the G3 Politician Stakes.

Bred by Dean Fleming’s Tyreel Stud, The Conglomerate is out of Canny Lad’s dual G1 winner Republic Lass, who has produced five winners from five runners. Republic Lass has also produced a filly foal by Sepoy this season.

Lonhro has sired 29 Group winners including six top-flight victors. He will stand this forthcoming season at Kelvinside for fee of $88,000 inc. GST alongside his G1-winning sons Denman ($27,500 inc. GST) and Benfica ($5,500 inc. GST)
