Metaboss takes charge in G3 El Camino Real Derby

Son of Street Boss is two-for-two in 2015

After breaking his maiden in his last start at Santa Anita in January, three-year-old Street Boss colt Metaboss continued the trend February 14 with a strong score in the G3 El Camino Real Derby at Golden Gate and continued his perfect record in 2015.

In the one-and-one-sixteenth-mile race Metaboss ran well off the pace in the back half of the field. Into the stretch Metaboss swung wide, coming fast down the lane to take the lead and accelerated in the final stages to post a hugely impressive win.

Bred by Mr. & Mrs. John A. Toffan, Metaboss is out of the Stakes-placed mare Spinning Yarns. The colt's granddam is Belle Story, a full-sister to Stakes winner and G1-placed Buckland Manor.

A talented young runner, Metaboss joins rank with other Graded Stakes winners by Street Boss which include 2014 G1 Arkansas Derby winner Danza and G1 King's Bishop winner Capo Bastone.

Street Boss will be represented by three yearlings and the upcoming Inglis Premier Yearling Sale which commences on March 1.
