Hint ends 2012 on high for Reset

Reset gelding becomes the 20th Stakes winner for his sire with victory in Malaysia

Enjoying a stellar season, Reset produced his 20th Stakes winner when gelding Hint produced a strong effort to take out the Listed Yang di Pertua Negeri Gold Cup over 2200m at Penang on 30 December.

A winner of nine starts in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia and almost $500,000 in career earnings, Hint was bred by Ramsey Pastoral Co Pty Ltd and is out of the Al Hareb mare Suggestive. The dam of nine to the races for eight winners, Suggestive has produced five Stakes winners including G1 winner Sky Cuddle, G2 winner Highly Recommended and recent Listed winner Undeniably, in fact the mare was represented by two new Stakes winner in the space of a week through the deeds of Undeniably as well as Hint.

With the Stakes victories of Cassini, Fawkner, Star Of Giselle and Vautevi since October, the unbeaten dual G1 winner Reset has been having a tremendous few months which will further showcase the two yearlings he has on offer at the Magic Millions yearling sale which is set to commence on 9 January at the Gold Coast.

Lot 451 a bay colt from the draft of Rosemont Stud (as agent) will sell mid-way through day three and is out of a Commands three-quarter-sister to Hut, the dam of Lonhro’s G1-winning son and Darley first-season sire Benfica, while lot 889 will be offered by Yarramalong Park and is a bay colt out of the Danehill mare Inski Outski, from the family of G1 winners Stella Madris, Lilacs and Lace as well as South African mare Kimberley Mine.
