Falls Of Lora wins Listed Distaff Stakes

Street Cry three-year-old lands her second black-type victory

Irish-bred Street Cry filly Falls Of Lora added Sandown's Listed Distaff Stakes over 1600m to her victory in the G3 UAE Oaks at Meydan back in February.

Frankie Dettori guided the three-year-old to her fourth win in ten career starts, the first coming in a seven-furlong Doncaster maiden last June.

Bred by Darley from the Danehill mare Firth Of Lorne, Falls Of Lora continues the fine run of Street Cry's European runners this season, which include G2 Ribblesdsale Stakes winner Princess Highway and the Queen's G3 Brigadier Gerard Stakes winner Carlton House, while his American-bred son Zaidan won the G1 Hong Kong Classic at Sha Tin in February.

Street Cry's dual G1 winner Shocking is also out of a mare by Danehill and he has the G1 winners Here Come Ben and Lyric Of Light out of mares by sons of Danzig.

Street Cry is the sire of 13 individual G1 winners around the world, including the 19-time winner Zenyatta, Melbourne Cup hero Shocking and his fellow Darley sires Street Sense and Street Boss.

Street Cry will stand at Darley Kelvinside for $110,000 incl GST in 2012.
