Consecutive Stakes wins for Reset mare

Real Charm trounces rivals in Listed Starstruck Classic

Progressive Reset mare Real Charm made it back-to-back Stakes wins with a dominant victory in the Listed Starstruck Classic over 1600m at Ascot, December 20.

After jumping well, jockey William Pike settled Real Charm in the perfect position just off the speed. After straightening in third position, the four-year-old mare quickly put the race beyond doubt, showing a dazzling turn of foot and dashing clear to record a three-length win.

A homebred for Bob Peters, Real Charm is a full sister to G2 WA Derby winner Mystic Prince. The Stakes-winning pair are the first two foals out of winning Catbird mare Purfect Size who has visited Reset in all six of her years at stud.

Enjoying a stellar few months with his progeny, Reset’s recent Stakes winners include Fawkner who was successful in the G1 Caulfield Stakes and Set Square who claimed her maiden Stakes victory in the G1 VRC Oaks, while Disposition and Cadillac Mountain have also claim Listed events.
