Bench Warrant serves them in Baffle Stakes

Street Boss colt runs to the money at Santa Anita

It's been quite a weekend for Street Boss. A day after his son Metaboss stole the show in the G3 El Camino Real Derby to put himself on the Kentucky Derby trail, three-year-old colt Bench Warrant lived up to his 9-5 favoritism in the Baffle Stakes on the turf at Santa Anita.

In the six-and-one-half-furlong sprint Bench Warrant was content trailing the field. Into the stretch the colt found a gap to challenge for the lead and kicked on down the lane for a strong last-to-first score.

Bred by Lee Searing & Susan Searing, Bench Warrant is out of Stakes-winning mare Ola Docura, by Meadowlake. The family traces to Brazilian G1 winner Cisplatine.

Among Street Boss's Graded Stakes winners are G1 Arkansas Derby winner Danza, G1 King's Bishop winner Capo Bastone, and the aforementioned Metaboss. A winner of the G1 Bing Crosby Handicap, Street Boss was the fastest son of the great Street Cry.
